Helping people quit smoking is what electronic cigarettes were created for and some are better suited than others. With so many different styles of vaping devices available these days, shopping for your first vape as a smoker looking to quit can be a challenging experience and it does not have to be that complicated.
Everyone is different, we all have different tastes and preferences, but there are still a few conditions that a vaping device has to meet in order to be considered suitable for beginners: it has to be easy to use by someone who has never vaped before, relatively affordable, compact, and, most importantly, it has to be able to reproduce that tight draw on a tobacco cigarette as closely as possible.
There are two types of vaping devices: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung. whether you hold it in your mouth first like a cigarette or direct inhale similar to a asthma inhaler.
Mouth-to-lung:- (Pod devices or Pen devices)
Pod devices which is the closest to smoking a cigarette, is a mouth-to-lung device and they have small cartridges that clip into the end. Some are pre-filled disposable cartridges or pods, and some are refillable. Just change the cartridge when it’s empty.
Pen devices have three parts: battery, coil, and tank. The battery needs charging every night and only needs replacing every few years.
The tank holds the flavored e-liquid and the coil heats the e-liquid into vapor. Coils need changing every two to four weeks, or when there’s a burnt taste or weak flavor.
Direct-to-lung:- (Mod boxes or Tanks)
Direct-to-lung devices or also known as direct-inhale devices and they are your mod boxes or tanks and they are the ones that can produce big clouds. People who are experienced vapers tend to use these.
These devices are not recommended for trying to quit smoking as they use a different inhaling technique to smoking, and use a lower nicotine e-liquid which is not ideal for starting to quit, but might suit some people.
